Internally Funded PhD Student (m/f/d) - Cellular senescence in cancer and bone metastasis (Saul group), (65%)
Aufgaben:
Utilize modern sequencing-based molecular biology approaches (RNA-seq, scRNA-seq, ATAC-seq, ChIP-seq) to examine transcriptomic and gene regulatory mechanisms controlling tumor- and senescent cell identity and therapy response.
Use bioinformatic analyses and interpretation of data to perform hypothesis testing and generation.
Perform multiplex immunofluorescence staining to confirm gene regulatory mechanisms in primary tumor tissue using multispectral imaging with an Akoya PhenoImager, perform Telomere-associated DDR foci (TAF) staining.
Perform tissue-based preparation of histological samples (FFPE tumor material) for single cell RNA-sequencing using the 10X Genomics technology.
Perform advanced cell culture experiments to examine the effects of drug treatment in various translational model systems.
Participation in internal or external research collaborations.
Documentation of work procedures, data acquisition and analyses.
Qualifikationen:
Applicants must have completed a Master of Science in a related field (biology, molecular biology, biotechnology, bioinformatics or similar)
Experience with cell culture, transfections, stainings, etc.
Extensive molecular biology experience (real-time PCR, Western blot, etc.)
Experience with bioinformatic analyses (R, Python)
